Happy New year!
I hope you all had a very Happy Christmas and I sincerely hope that the coming year brings you success, peace and security. Those who have been keeping in touch will know that I have been putting all my efforts into the Second Life project. I must admit that I blow hot and cold on that one but nevertheless I have made a big investment there and have been successful - there have also been many changes there and it has been quite a challenge recently but the store has been doing well. I am apparently an Honoured Resident now, whatever that means.
Occasionally I like to spend some time doing more tradition 3D art and in recently months I was messing around with the Groboto program. I've had it years but never used it, then I noticed there was an upgrade and suddenly I was in there producing the spaceships which form the basis of this latest image of mine called 'No Longer Missing'. The models are crisp and clean and I may use them in an animation soon, but here I wanted to create a very weather beaten, almost traditional style illustration... almost crayon actually. I suppose that title is quite appropriate - my real crayons went missing a while ago - some say I followed them. I will try to do more in 2011 so stick with the newsletter and you'll be the first to find out what I come up with.
